Roamware SRP is a suite of innovative roaming services that enable operators to jumpstart their roaming service offering. It enables operators to establish a seamless communication channel with all their roamers providing them with valuable home and local information. Further, these services enable roamers to access local value-added services, use their home short codes and automatically get assistance in making calls with the correct dialing patterns. In addition, Roamware SRP enables operators to drive roamer loyalty via an effective loyalty management program offering incentives to roamers for choosing the operator’s network and using the roaming services. Services included in this solution are:
Outreach Messaging
Outreach Messaging is a roamer relationship management tool that empowers mobile operators to proactively reach out to inbound and outbound roamers via a suite of personalized multi-modal messaging delivery services. It enables operators to welcome roamers to their network, introduce the network roaming services and maintain an effective channel of communication for roamers to request local information. By delivering valuable information and assisting roamers, Outreach Messaging creates a familiar and home-like experience for roamers, creating network stickiness and loyalty. This leads to increased roamer retention and increased revenues via service usage.
Key features include:
-
Enables operators to identify and classify roamers on arrival, to build a dynamic roamer database and to proactively communicate with them
-
Ability to personalize messages and control the timing, content, language etc. by means of flexible rules. Special controls allow sending Flash SMS, Blinking SMS and Animated SMS
-
SNMP-based system monitoring and control
-
Value-added modules include instant win-back, thank-you or bon-voyage message delivery on roamer de-registration, optimized SMS delivery to inbound roamers and MMS message delivery to compatible handsets
Optimized Routing
Optimized Routing enables operators to route all in-network roaming subscriber calls in the most efficient manner, leading to reduced costs and increased margins. The cost savings can either be passed on to the subscribers, thereby increasing loyalty, or retained by the operator to improve profit margins. This service enables operators to optimize their operational costs while better serving their roamers to intelligent services and attractive roaming call costs. This leads to increased roamer stickiness to the network to benefit from of the service and cost benefits, and hence produces long-term sustainable revenue streams.
Key features include:
-
Enables operator to take the routing decisions and decides an optimal route to be taken for completing a call, wherever applicable
-
Enables higher quality calls at lower costs to be made to inbound roamers by either the local subscribers or other inbound roamers on the (visited) operator’s network
-
Provides operator with the flexibility of offering either “seamless” optimal routing or “conscious”(prefix based) optimal routing for the subscriber
Roaming Short Codes
Roaming Short Codes enable inbound and outbound roamers to access value-added services by using familiar home short codes. It also provides Calling Line Identification(CLI) guarantee in short code service usage ensuring that the short code calls are transparently completed without any interaction requirement from the roamers. This results in increased call completion and hence increased revenue for mobile operators.
Key features include:
-
Allows roamers to use their familiar home short codes and World Wide Numbers (brand codes) even while roaming on visited networks
-
Consists of a comprehensive database containing commonly used short codes of all operators in the world
-
Ability to resolve short code conflicts based on predefined rules and map similar services of home and visited networks
-
CLI guarantee to over 50 countries when accessing home network-based services.
Smart Call Assistance
Smart Call Assistance service significantly makes local and international call dialing easier for roamers by automatically correcting dialing mistakes introduced due to new and unfamiliar dialing codes and patterns in the visited network. This service essentially removes the hurdles faced by roamers in placing calls while roaming, and hence results in increased roaming calls directly driving roaming revenues for the operators. It also greatly alleviates roamer frustration by automatically correcting the dialing mistakes, resulting in increased roamer loyalty to the network.
Key features include:
-
Completes local and international calls made by roamers by automatically correcting mistakes that occur during dialing
-
Consists of a database containing dialing details of all countries in the world, complete with International Direct Dialing(IDD), National Destination Code(NDC), and Country Code(CC)
-
Maintains a list of the frequently used toll free numbers in each country and correctly routes the call in case the number is misdialed
Missed Call Alerts
Missed Call Alerts service notifies outbound roamers about calls that they did not answer voluntarily or that occurred when their handset was powered off. The notification is sent in the form of an SMS containing the Caller ID of the party that was trying to reach them. This service equips roamers with information on all the callers and helps them to make informed decisions about whom to call back. It also eliminates the natural roamer tendency to not take any incoming calls to avoid the high roaming call costs by enabling them to make the important calls. This essentially results in increased roaming calls and increased revenues for the mobile operators.
Key features include:
-
SMS based notifications to roamers with comprehensive information about the missed call for different missed call scenarios
-
Web-based and SMS-based interface for users to set their preferences
-
Management of user subscription to the service and comprehensive logging facility to support per-event rating and billing, at the discretion of the operator
Loyalty Management
Loyalty Management enables mobile operators to deploy innovative rewards programs targeted at inbound and outbound roamers, creating a compelling incentive for roamers to actively choose their network. This service enables operators to attract and retain roamers to their network, enabling them to build a long-term and profitable relationship with their roamers. Several customized loyalty programs can be designed and launched using the Loyalty Manager in alignment with the operator’s broader marketing campaigns.
Key features include:
-
Rules-based rewards with a flexible interface to manage reward schemes and multiple computational models for reward calculation
-
Allows third party integration (with airlines, hotels for e.g.) for offering rewards points to subscribers
-
Collaboration with Outreach Messaging allows notifying roamers about the rewards schemes on arrival and to update them on rewards earned
-
Easy to register due to support of multiple mechanisms like WAP, SMS, Web, IVR for registration
Traffic Redirection
Traffic Redirection enables operators to proactively contact their outbound roamers and influence the choice of network on which they roam when overseas. This enables operators to direct roamers to their preferred partners resulting in maximization of roaming revenues. Global operator groups can tremendously benefit from this service by retaining roamers within their group properties globally, thus preventing roaming revenue leakage to their competitors. Roamers also benefit via access to familiar roaming services and attractive call costs by being on their home operator’s preferred partner networks.
Key features include:
-
Non-intrusive roamer registration monitoring for immediate redirection message delivery to switch to preferred network
-
Dynamic roamer database that provides real-time roamer snapshot
-
Support for both non-intrusive and active methods of enabling redirection
Voicemail Call Completion
Voicemail Call Completion enables mobile operators to optimally route "Late Call Forwarding" calls to voicemail or another Forwarded-To-Number. Optimal routing of such calls to voicemail results in high customer satisfaction due to substantial cost savings. The service also guarantees an increase in the number of calls to voicemail, and higher chances of delivering calling and called party information to voicemail. Voicemail call completion is also used to provide Optimal Routing in Late Call Forwarding conditions for prepaid roamers thereby enabling prepaid roamers to be offered voicemail deposit services.
Key Features include:
-
Calls forwarded optimally, without the out-roamer subscriber having to pay for the tromboning legs of the call, directly to the forwarded-to number (usually a voicemail number)
-
CLI/OCN/RDN availability enables seamless access to voicemail systems
CLI Delivery
CLI Delivery enables operators to present the calling party number (CLI) for roaming subscribers at termination to both mobile phones as well as voicemail systems. This enables operators to provide the CLI Delivery service to roamers, giving them the option of screening incoming calls while roaming. The service also provides roamers seamless access to services in HPLMN as the CLI is automatically passed to the systems and applications. Delivery of caller and called party numbers to voicemail also ensures an increase in roaming calls to the voicemail systems leading to an increased ARPU from roaming.
